
Reiki
Alongside my therapeutic and educational work as a psychologist, I am a certified Usui Reiki Master. My practice lineage traces back to Mikao Usui, a Japanese teacher who recognized and documented Reiki’s practice in its modern form around the turn of the 20th century.
Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing technique that promotes balance and supports the body’s natural ability to heal—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. While Reiki is not a substitute for therapy, many of my clients find it deeply grounding, especially during times of transition, emotional overwhelm, or when their heart need a language of its own.
My practice includes both in-person and online (distance) Reiki sessions.
During a Reiki session, I integrate:
- Energy cleansing
- Crystal healing
- Chakra balancing
- Emotional healing through Reiki symbols
Whether you are seeking relief from stress, emotional healing, or simply a peaceful moment to reconnect with yourself, Reiki can be a powerful and restorative experience.
What to Expect in a Reiki Session
Each session lasts approximately 30 to 40 minutes and is designed to be a quiet, nurturing space for reconnection.
- Opening conversation (5 minutes) – We begin with a short talk so I can understand your current state and intentions for the session.
- Guided relaxation meditation (5 minutes) – As a certified MBSR mindfulness practitioner, I guide you into a deep state of calm to prepare your mind and body for Reiki.
- Reiki healing (20 minutes) – You will be invited to lie down (or sit comfortably). For in-person sessions, I use light, non-invasive touch. For distance sessions, we agree on a set time, and you relax in your own space while I guide the healing from afar. Distance Reiki is just as effective as in-person work.
- Closing reflections – After the session, you may feel lighter, more centered, or quietly renewed. Sometimes emotions or insights emerge—this is a natural part of the healing process.
